Can you help us to organize a new football event in June?

I haven´t wrote for a while on this blog. That doesn´t mean that I´m not working anymore on the project. Next month I hope to start the next tournament with a special accent: every team will choose a country to present, to imitate the World Cup. The boys can´t wait to start playing!

The name of this tournament will be: Borel Football Cup For Peace. We are still searching for football clothes of the national teams around the world to make this possible. We already received 7 sets of clothes, but we need more 7 sets of clothes to complete. We need for example 15 shirts from the Dutch national team, when possible, inclusive shorts and socks. We need also footbal shoes (used or new), 20 balls, 26 cones, 30 vests (blue and red) and 20 hoops.

When you´re not able to send clothes, you can also help by donating money to buy the clothes here in Rio de Janeiro. A complete set of 12 shirts, shorts and socks costs around 1200 reais: 500 euro. Please mail me to know how and where you can give your donation: cavaco.magno@gmail.com.

Can you help us?

A trip to Xerem

This saterday, the 13th of November, we are going to have a final game in Borel. I'm curious who is going to be the champion. Besides playing the Borel Cup in our own community, we are happy to participate in a tournament in Xerem, on the other side of Rio de Janeiro. The name of our team is: Som do Morro, Sound of the Hill, because the community of Borel, just like many poor communities in Rio, is situated on a hill. It's good to see that the boys are enjoying it, even though they not win every game. Because of the distance we already spent a night there, with almost no time to sleep.
